Raised Commode Seats

Raised commode seats elevate the seat level of the toilet, making it easier to get on and off.   Raised commode seats can be helpful for a wide variety of individuals including those with arthritis, as well as those who may have had hip and knee replacements, and people with low endurance.  They can be purchased at local medical supply stores and through various catalogs and websites.   They can range in price from $50-$100 depending on features such as if they are padded and have arms.  Check out two sites that carry them here and here .

    My senior dad used these when his Parkinson's Disease progressed. They were a big help! They're not too expensive, either, so you can buy them before you need them and have them handy in case of an emergency. :)
